We're not a typical agency. Rivvy was founded by attorneys-turned-strategists who understand both the legal rigor of business operations and the creative demands of digital growth. We don't do cookie-cutter solutions. Every engagement starts with deep discovery into your brand equity, customer data, and operational constraints. We build systems meant to last, not quick fixes that burn out.
Yes. We specialize in two distinct paths: Heritage Transformation (modernizing established brands without losing their soul) and New Venture Launch (building viral-ready brands from scratch). Each requires different methodologies, timelines, and team structures. We've successfully guided 50+ year-old family businesses and launched brands that hit $2M in their first month.

Both. We're hands-on. For heritage brands, we often rebuild entire tech stacks (headless commerce, unified inventory, CRM integration). For new ventures, we launch full DTC ecosystems including Shopify stores, TikTok Shop integration, and paid media infrastructure. Strategy without execution is just a PDF. We stay until it works.
Process & Timeline
Heritage Transformations: 6-12 months for full modernization (discovery, foundation rebuild, launch, optimization). New Venture Launches: 2-4 months from concept to first revenue. Strategic Consulting: 4-8 weeks for due diligence or roadmap projects. We don't rush. Sustainable velocity beats burn-and-churn every time.
Week 1-2: Deep audit of your current state (customer data, tech stack, brand equity, operational constraints). Week 3: Stakeholder interviews and competitive landscape analysis. Week 4: Strategic roadmap presentation with phased implementation plan, resource requirements, and ROI projections. We don't start building until we understand the terrain.
We offer both. Project-Based: Best for defined scopes like TikTok Shop launch, tech stack migration, or investor due diligence ($5k-$20k). Retainer/Transformation: For ongoing partnerships where we embed with your team for 6-12 months ($20k+ monthly). Strategic Consult: One-time deep-dive sessions for specific challenges (<$5k).
For transformation engagements (6+ months), yes. We need full alignment and decision-making authority to move fast. For project-based work, no exclusivity required. We're not territorial—we collaborate with your existing agencies, dev teams, and consultants. But we do need a clear chain of command.
Pricing & Investment
Strategic Consult: $2k-$5k for one-time deep-dive sessions. Project-Based: $5k-$20k for defined scopes (TikTok Shop setup, tech migration, brand refresh). Retainer/Transformation: $20k-$50k/month for 6-12 month partnerships (full-service modernization or launch). Custom Enterprise: For multi-brand portfolios or investor partnerships, pricing is tailored to scope.
Rarely, and only for new ventures where we're co-building from scratch. For heritage brands, we prefer fixed retainers because transformation work involves systems and infrastructure that don't show immediate revenue impact. We're not a growth marketing agency chasing quick ROAS—we build foundations that compound over years.
Strategy & Roadmapping, Hands-On Execution (tech builds, campaign launches, content creation), Weekly Check-Ins & Monthly Reviews, Access to Our Full Team (strategists, developers, media buyers, analysts), and Ongoing Optimization. Retainers do NOT include: Third-party software costs (Shopify, ad spend, tools), Legal/Compliance Work, or Physical Product Development.
Project-Based: 50% upfront, 50% on delivery. Retainer: First month upfront, then monthly billing. Transformation Engagements: First two months upfront to cover discovery and foundation work, then monthly thereafter. We're flexible for the right partners, but we don't work on spec.
Team & Expertise
Every engagement is led by a Senior Strategist (10+ years experience) who owns your account end-to-end. Depending on scope, you'll also work with specialists: Commerce Architects (Shopify, headless builds), Media Strategists (paid social, TikTok), Data Analysts, and Content Creators. You're not handed off to junior staff—we're a lean, senior team.
We've worked across Outdoor & Apparel, Consumer Packaged Goods, Home & Lifestyle, Beauty & Wellness, and B2B Services. That said, we don't believe in 'industry expertise' as a differentiator. Digital commerce principles are universal. What matters is understanding your customers, your constraints, and your competitive moat. We learn fast.
We're a distributed team (US-based) and work primarily remote. For transformation engagements, we'll travel for kickoff workshops and quarterly strategy sessions. For new ventures, we're available for weekly video calls and Slack collaboration. We don't believe in mandatory on-site presence—output matters, not office hours.
Yes. Part of our transformation work includes Team Design & Hiring Strategy. We'll help you define roles, write job descriptions, interview candidates, and onboard your internal commerce team. Our goal is to make ourselves obsolete—we want you to own the system we build together.
Getting Started
For Heritage Brands: Current revenue, primary sales channels, tech stack overview, biggest growth obstacle, and 12-month goal. For New Ventures: Product concept, target customer, competitive landscape, funding status, and launch timeline. For Investors: Portfolio company overview, due diligence scope, and decision timeline. The more context, the better.
Always. As a firm founded by attorneys, we treat all client information with strict confidentiality. We'll sign your NDA or provide our standard mutual NDA. Your business strategy and data are safe from day one.
Within 24 hours: Initial response and NDA exchange. Within 48 hours: Briefing call to understand your situation (30-45 min). Within 1 week: Proposal with scope, timeline, team structure, and investment. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you immediately and point you to better resources.
Yes, but with caveats. We're based in the US and optimized for North American commerce (Shopify, TikTok Shop, Meta ads). We've worked with Canadian, UK, and Australian brands, but our expertise is strongest in US market dynamics. If you're targeting US customers, we're a great fit regardless of where you're based.
Trust & Security
Yes. We have detailed case studies on our site (Summit Outfitters, Aero Active, Urban Outfitters Group) and can provide client references upon request during the proposal stage. Due to NDAs, some of our best work can't be publicly shared, but we'll connect you with past clients in similar situations.
For Retainers: 30-day notice to terminate (either party). We'll provide a transition plan and documentation handoff. For Projects: Milestone-based payments mean you can pause after each phase if needed. We're not in the business of holding clients hostage. If it's not working, we'll part ways professionally.
Everything we build is yours. Code, designs, strategies, documentation—100% client ownership upon final payment. We retain the right to use anonymized case studies for marketing (with your approval), but all work product belongs to you.
We guarantee effort, expertise, and execution. We don't guarantee revenue outcomes because too many variables are outside our control (product-market fit, pricing, supply chain, macroeconomics). What we do guarantee: Strategic rigor, hands-on execution, transparent reporting, and relentless optimization. If we don't believe we can move the needle, we won't take the work.
